Good Shepherd's Christmas Tea

    MILFORD — A tradition that started 50 years ago will once again be held at the Good Shepherd and St. John’s Episcopal Church, Fifth and Catharine Streets, in Milford. This event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dining area will be decorated with festive tablecloths and candles. You will be served by the youths dressed in holiday aprons. This will truly be a fancy tea room for your dining. The full luncheon menu will consist of 5 different breakfast scones and pastries, 5 kinds of finger sandwiches and 5 fancy desserts. You will have your pick from an assortment of teas. Of course, coffee will also be served. The cost of the full luncheon will be $10 for adults and $4.50 for children under 10. Dessert and beverage only will be $4.50. In addition to the luncheon there will be many items for sale on the white elephant Christmas tables. They have many nice gift items and decorations. There will be chances on either a Christmas quilt or Christmas wall hanging. There will also be many hand made cookies, loaf cakes of all kinds and the famous fruit cake made with the late Betty Stark’s recipe. Come join us for a relaxing start to the Christmas season.
