Gracie's Christmas Tree' benefits
Pike Humane Society MILFORD Books & Prints at Pear Alley has placed an undecorated Christmas tree inside its bookstore. “Gracie’s Christmas Tree” is named in honor of its adopted shelter dog, Grace. During the Christmas shopping season, Nov. 27 through Dec. 31, donations for the Pike County Humane Society will be accepted at the bookstore and placed under “Gracie’s Christmas Tree.” Shelter donations needed are laundry detergent, bleach, cleaning supplies (except furniture polish, paper towels, canned and dry dog/cat food, bedding (old blankets/ towels), kitty litter, hand sanitizer, and toys and you need not wrap them. During winter months, cash donations are especially important to help offset heating costs. The Anthony’s hope to have a fully decorated tree at the end of the Christmas season and scores of needed donations for the shelter. Donations for “ Gracie’s Christmas Tree” can be brought to Books & Prints, 220 Broad Street, Milford, Pa. The store’s business hours are Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The effort will run Nov. 27 through Dec. 31. For more information call 570-296-4777.
