Grand opening for new gallery

MILFORD - The Milford Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting open house celebration for Gallery on Seventh scheduled for Apr. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. Gallery on Seventh features original paintings and etchings executed by Debbie Gioello, artist/owner. Works include representational and realistic subjects as well as abstracts to suit any taste and decor from classically traditional to modern. Original works and prints by other artist are displayed. The focal point of the gallery is the back wall. A twelve-section painting of a realistic Madagascar butterfly commands your attention. Other large, realistic paintings of butterflies, executed with multiple glazing and raised ”truponto technique,” are interspersed among large abstract floral watercolors. Finely - drawn detailed etching (Intaglio) are displayed on one wall. The etchings are hand inked and hand pulled, printed on Arches acid free paper, numbered and signed. The watercolors and etchings are available framed as shown well as unframed. The gallery also offers an array of retro art glass, decorative arts, vintage collectables and one of a kind hand crafted vintage jewelry create by gifted artesian and designers. Interesting and wonderfully selected gifts for birthday, mother’s day, weddings and every other special occasion. Gallery hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Sunday; Saturdays from 11-6 and Monday 11-3. Closed Tuesday & Wednesday. The gallery will participate in the “Art After Dark” program and will be open the second Saturday of each month till 9 p.m. The entrance to the gallery is directly on Seventh Street in the Old Lumberyard Shops complex.
