Half Moon postcard club show May 9

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — The Half Moon Postcard Club is holding its 30th annual show and sale on Saturday, May 9 at the Elks Lodge, 32 US Route 6, Port Jervis, N.Y. , just off exit 1, of Interstate Highway 84. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there is a $2 donation at the door. Twenty dealers will offer a wide range of vintage postcards and ephemera for sale. Club members will be available to answer questions and give brief appraisals. In honor of this year’s 2009 Hudson Fulton Quadricentennial the club has reprinted a rare old postcard from the Jordy collection showing a replica of Henry Hudson’s Half Moon at the Newburgh, N.Y. waterfront for the 1909 celebration. The souvenir postcard will be available for $1 at the show.
