‘Dipping Into The Well’: Replenishing the spirit with essential oils HONESDALE — Essential oils are a pleasing and effective remedy for replenishing the mind, body, and spirit. Through our amazing sense of smell — essential oil molecules enter our bloodstreams through the olfactory nerve — behind the bridge of the nose — that connects to our brain’s limbic system — center of movement and memory. Oil molecules are also absorbed through our skin. One of the ways many oils help restore our emotional and physical balance is by moving or stimulating the body’s vital energy or chi. They also add oxygen to the blood, which is why we may feel “uplifted” after inhaling. This workshop series will introduce you to over a dozen essential oils, and include information on safe application. Our focus will be on taking time to truly experience each essence. While most essential oils have multiple healing properties, for the purposes of this workshop, we will focus on 3 or 4 oils in the following groups: May 1 - Essentials Oils for Energizing & Grounding Geranium, Black Spruce, Cardamom, Atlas Cedar May 8 - Essential Oils for Balancing & Calming Lavender, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Sweet Orange May 15 - Essential Oils for Meditation and Inspiration Frankincense, Myrrh, Rose, Neroli Time: Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Location: Honesdale Wellness Center, 602 Church Street, Basement Level Class Fee: $15 per class To Register: Contact Maya 570-251-8185/email: maya@mayasalchemy.com Maya is the creator of Mayasblends, and has been a practitioner of energy and aromatic healing for the past 12 years, offering circles, workshops, and individual sessions.
