Holiday vocal concert at Grey Towers

MILFORD — Like holly and ivy, starlight and candles, music and song are an essential part of the holiday season. This holiday season, Kindred Spirits Arts Programs will present a very special musical event at the historic Grey Towers in Milford, Saturday, Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. featuring two rising stars, Melody Alesi, soprano and David Katz, tenor. Alesi, the daughter of two professional singers is at home as a recitalist and on stage, having performed the roles of Magueritte in Faust, Gilda in Rigoletto, Mimi in La Boheme and Micaela in Carman. Tenor David Katz has performed in musicals, light opera and opera, signing the roles of Rodolfo in La Boheme, Alfredo in La Traviata and the Duke in Rigoletto. The concert will features selections by Mozart, Donizetti, Puccini, Lehar and Verdi plus popular songs and traditional carols. This concert is sponsored by Barbara Buchanan, Marvin and Frances Gould Naftal, and Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. The concert, which combines beautiful music in an equally beautiful setting is expected to be a sellout.
