Honesdale's first-ever jazz fest is this weekend



HONESDALE — The Maple City Jazz Festival, Honesdale's first-ever jazz festival, will be held Nov. 17-19 at The Cooperage, will feature performances by the Andy Milne Trio; Lone Duck featuring Rowan Lynch, Bob Wilson and Bob Ventrello; The Matt Hoffman Quintet; and Impromptu: An Intimate Exploration of the Art of Improvising featuring Kazzrie Jaxen, piano and vocals, and Don Messina, double bass.
The schedule is: Nov. 17, Andy Milne Trio, 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 7 p.m.) Suggested donation is $15 with advance reservation or $20 at the door.
Nov. 18, Lone Duck, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the Main St. Farmers' Market
Nov.18,|Matt Hoffman Quintet, 7 p.m. (Doors open at 7 p.m.) Suggested donation is $15 with advance reservation or $20 at the door.
Nov. 19, Impromptu: featuring Kazzrie Jaxen and Don Messina, 5 p.m. (Doors open at 4:30 p.m.) Suggested donation: $15 with advance reservation or $20 at the door.
All evening performances are BYOB.
