Kit Jones' photographs shown at Alliance Gallery in Narrowsburg

Director turned digital photographer exhibits NARROWSBURG, N.Y. “On Old Danzer Road,” an exhibition of photographs by Kit Jones, opens at the Alliance Gallery in Narrowsburg on Saturday, October 26, with an artist’s reception from 2 - 4 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through Nov. 16. Kit Jones, a graduate of UCLA theatre school, enjoyed a successful and varied career in New York as a writer and a video producer/director. Jones’ photographs have been featured in group shows at The Old Stone House in Neversink, N.Y.; The Art of Photography Show, San Diego, Calif.; and the Denver International Airport Exhibition. He was part of the Catskill Art Society’s Open Studio Tour in 2005 and 2006 and had his first one-man show at the Catskill Art Society in April of 2006. His photo entitled “Stone Arch” has received a number of awards. It was selected from over ten thousand entries to be a part of the Art in Photography show at the Lyceum Gallery in San Diego, CA and appeared in the January/February 2007 issue of CameraArt magazine. It will also be represented in the Photographer’s Forum’s The Best of Photography Annual 2007. This exhibit, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the Arts Council for Sullivan County, NY, and is made possible in part with funding from the Visual Arts Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.
