Participants and volunteers needed
In recognition of all of those who have contributed to the growth and reputation of the sanctuary, Lacawac invites teachers, naturalists, and researchers to showcase their skills and talents. If you'd like to participate, choose your favorite topic and register by May 31 to let the staff know you're coming.
Tour guides are also needed to conduct Nature Fest lodge tours.
Education stations
Children and families will visit these stations and learn about different environmental topics. Educators may display their chosen topics with hands-on models or create a demonstration. These stations are great for teachers, naturalists, and researchers.
Arts and crafts tables
Nature crafts and art from nature are fun for all ages. Choose an activity and we'll work together to gather the materials. Activities should only take 5-15 minutes to create, and activity leaders must have a plan for transportation (i.e., paint or glue drying).
