— "Language of Our Youth," an exhibit of art created by students at Delaware Valley High School, is on display through April 3 at the ARTery Gallery, 210 Broad St., Milford.
The display of student art is now in its sixth year at the gallery. The exhibit brings out many family and friends in support, which gives the students a real-life experience of showing their work at a gallery.
The works are mostly for sale and the prices are low. An art lover can pick up a piece from a possible future famous artist, such as Reiley Weems, who will be artist of the week on WVIA PA Public Television, airing in March; or Julia Thompson, who plans to become an art teacher.
Delaware Valley High School puts a strong emphasis on the arts, and its students participate win awards at exhibits and competitions throughout the state. The student-created jewelry, pottery, painting, drawings, photography, computer graphics, sculpture, printmaking, collage, assemblage and textiles are shown at the gallery each year.
