Library cookie sale now

Hawley Library volunteer Patty Hopkins shows off some samples of the cookies will be packed on Thursday, Dec. 13. The Hawley Library is offering a no-fail “recipe” to assure everyone a wide variety of holiday cookies — just participate in its 16th annual Christmas cookie sale. Orders are now being accepted for festively decorated one-pound boxes of assorted homemade cookies, to be prepared in the kitchens of library volunteers and supporters in the Lake Region community. Boxes are $10 each and can be ordered by calling the library at 570-226-4620 or sale Chairperson Dona Schmalzle at 226-3019. Include name, telephone number, and quantity of boxes needed. They will be available for pick-up on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15, during regular library hours. All proceeds will benefit the Hawley Library and its services to the community.
