Library Friends president joins Readers' cast

MILFORD - Martyn Freed, president of the Pike County Public Library’s Friends of the Library has joined the cast of the American Readers Theatre spring production of “Animal Farm.” The April 28 performance of “Animal Farm” at Grey Towers will be part of the annual Milford Pear Festival. Proceeds will benefit the task force for the creation of the new Pike County Public Library. Martyn has enjoyed his Friday night rehearsals under the direction of Jeffrey Stocker the company founder and director. “Jeffrey is both a great director and teacher. The whole community will love his adaptation of the Orwell classic “Animal Farm.” He teaches a wonderful on-camera reading and acting workshop for both children and adults every Saturday at the Biondo Building in Milford.
