Lincoln April at the Columns

    MILFORD — History will run Friday through Sunday at next week’s annual Lincoln Weekend. On Friday evening, April 17, there will be a double-feature movie: “Abraham Lincoln,” from 1930 and “Young Mr. Lincoln,” 1939. These movies will be shown free of charge beginning at 7 p.m. Period re-enactors will be the main attraction all day Saturday, Apr. 18, with demonstrations and lectures on. Saturday evening there will be a grand soiree, featuring live music. Costumed guests will include Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln. There will be light fare and wine. The cost is $30 per person. The weekend draws to a close on Sunday, April 19, with a lecture on Pike County’s own “151st” Regiment at 1 p.m., followed by a reading of the Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln.
