Masters of the Chainsaw to perform at the Festival of Wood this weekend

MILFORD — Masters of the Chainsaw, a group of the nation’s top professional chainsaw sculptors, will perform three times each day at the Festival of Wood Aug. 9 and 10 at Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford. Dedicated to promoting and preserving the integrity of the art form and its performance, Masters of the Chainsaw artist Rod Green will present an original and captivating high-energy performance. With chain saw roaring and chips flying, the carvers’ precision and skill quickly transforms a three-foot tall log into a true work of art. Each 45-minute show will result in a carving being produced from start to finish. The carvings will be available for purchase at the Festival of Wood.
