Milford Music Festival sets June dates

— Get ready for music, sun, and shopping when the 2015 Milford Music Festival comes to town from June 26 to 28.

So far, activities include “Brooklyn Day in PA” on Saturday in Jorgenson’s at the Dimmick, the “Indie Stage” at the Milford Dairy Bar with more than eight bands throughout the weekend, and on Milford Music in the Park on Sunday at the Ann Street Park. Be on the look-out for more music at locations throughout Milford, such as Luhrs Ace Hardware, the Hotel Fauchere, The Patisserie, The Grotto, Harrington House, Chant Reality, the Milford Craft Show, Ambience Fine Furniture, and The Frisky Goat Coffeehouse, with more to come.

Organizers say the goal is not only to bring classic entertainment to Milford but also to support local businesses.

First established in 2002 as the Milford Jazz Festival and re-established in 2013 with the resources of the disbanded Milford Business Council, the Milford Music Festival is aimed at connecting the commercial interests of our historic town with the community by hosting and producing a calendar of cultural events. Events are designed to encourage the work of new and emerging local talent, elevate Milford's status as a cultural destination and enhance the quality of life in Pike County through the exposure to the arts. The festival also supports other non-profit organizations in the community.

The Milford Music Festival is still looking for businesses to participate, or that are looking for musical talent. For more information visit milfordmusicfest.org.
