Miss Pike County rules

    MILFORD — The Miss Pike County will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and follow guidelines set by the PA State Fair queen contest rules. There will competitions for all ages. Caitlin Vill, Miss Pike County of 2006, has agreed to chair the committee, which also manages the Little Miss and Mr. constests, as well as the senior king and queen contest. The Miss Pike County contest rules require that: She must be a resident of Pennsylvania, from either the Wallenpaupack, Delaware Valley or East Stroundsburg school district; She must be at least age, 16, but not older than 20 years of age as of June 1 of the year of entrance in the contest; She must have parental or guardians’ consent; She must be single, never married, have no children, and must not marry nor get pregnant during her reign; She must not be a former fair queen or former state fair queen contestant and; She must be able to attend the state competition to be held in Hershey in January following the local contest. State level competition concentrates on scholastic aspects, with the winner receiving a 2008 scholarship to the college of her choice.
