Back by popular demand, the Port Jervis Consort will present an encore performance of “Music in the Barn” at the Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve (141 Clove Road, Montague, N.J.) on Sunday, May 4, at 4:30 p.m.

The chamber ensemble of singers, piano, flute and cello will perform an updated music program about animals, from Madrigals to Rock ’n Roll. The audience will be surrounded by the sounds of cuckoos and the bellowing of cows (courtesy of the singers) and will be invited to sing along at times.

The program will indeed be performed in an actual barn. Tours of the bucolic Tamerlaine Sanctuary, where over 250 rescued farm animals reside, will be available between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

There is no admission charge.
