Milford – Pike Modern Gallery is showing, “Thoughts on the Meaning of Spring,” a group show featuring the works of local and New York City artists. Artists featured in this show include sculptors Keely McCool of Marshall’s Creek, and Dale Coughenour of Otisville, Anthony Ballatore of West Brookfield, N.Y., Milford’s Lindsay Brown and New York City artists William Donovan and Eric Rhein. The show runs through May 30. Opened last August, Pike Modern has quickly established a reputation for presenting work that both challenges and excites viewers. This show, like previous exhibits encompasses a surprisingly wide range of styles that nonetheless create a powerfully unified exhibit. Located at 113 Seventh Street in the Old Lumberyard Shops in Milford, Pennsylvania, Pike Modern features the works of emerging and established artists in a variety of media, with a primary focus on painting and sculpture. The gallery will soon be announcing a series of Saturday Artists Talks as well as a monthly art party. Contact the gallery at www.pikemodern.com for more information. Pike Modern is open Friday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., on Monday holidays and by appointment.
