Nominations sought for 'Do 6' awards

MILFORD — The PA Route 6 Alliance is now accepting nominations for the "Do 6" Awards, which will recognize six innovators and initiatives along the heritage corridor that have made a difference in 2015.

The awards will be presented to people, businesses, or organizations that have made outstanding efforts supporting and implementing sustainable tourism development along Route 6. The award winners, to be announced in May, exemplify the mission of the alliance to preserve and promote the scenic, cultural, historical and recreational resources in the northern tier.

The awards are presented in Heritage Partnerships, Leadership, Heritage Community of the Year, Heritage Tourism (projects or events), Artisan of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

Nominations, which may be submitted by anyone along the PA Route 6 Corridor, are due by Friday, March 11. Nomination forms are available at paroute6.com/annual_awards_program.
