Operation Chillout to raise money for homeless vets

— A Halloween concert by film and television personality Robb Taylor will raise money for homeless veterans in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

“As winter approaches, these men, who have given so much for us, will have no shelter, no blanket and certainly no Christmas," said Taylor. "They will have to dig through trash for food. This is completely and totally unacceptable. If their lives were not taken, their lives are in ruin because of the sacrifice they made for us."

The Robb Taylor Band will perform for the Operation Chillout benefit at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31, at Petrizzo’s Restaurant, 6171 Milford Rd., East Stroudsburg.

“The purpose of this benefit is to honor our veterans for their service to this great country," Robert Pidi of the Powerthouse #1 Corporation, one of the show’s hosts. "They serve tirelessly and receive very little in return."

The band has performed with Chubby Checker, Taylor Hicks, Charlie Daniels, and Jerry Lee Lewis, to name a few. It will perform songs from the Ramblin’ On, Hourglass, and Dream Catcher CDs.

Other musical performances will follow after 8:30 p.m.

Operation Chillout is a nonprofit outreach organization that holds many fundraising events to help homeless veterans.
