MILFORD - The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) and The Black Bear Film Festival are partnering their efforts to make sure that the upcoming film festival and the center’s Powwow In The Poconos are a success. The events are both taking place during the weekend of Oct. 14. The two organizations will be sponsoring a free historic trolley ride between Milford and the center’s campus with a National Park Service employee providing park interpretation on board. The trolley will run three times a day on Saturday and Sunday providing visitors the opportunity to enjoy both events. The annual film festival runs from Oct. 12 to 15 in Milford, while the powwow is taking place Oct. 14 to 15, 2006 at the center. The center is co-sponsoring the Black Bear Film Festival’s EnviroFest and will host an afternoon viewing of the first segment of “Homeland: Four Portraits of Native Action” during the powwow on Saturday.
