Pike Chamber hosts annual awards and recognition banquet

WESTFALL - The Pike County Chamber of Commerce is holding its 11th Annual Community Awards Banquet on November 4th at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing. Hosted by the Chamber in partnership with the service organizations throughout the area, this year’s corporate sponsor is PPL Electric Utilities Corporation. The Awards Dinner is held each year to provide a forum to honor those volunteers and volunteer organizations throughout the community whose vital contribution adds so much to the quality of life in the Pike County area. This year, 17 non-profit organizations will be on hand to honor their own and to showcase their commitments toward the worthwhile work they do. The Pike County Chamber itself presents three awards: Chamber Director of the Year, Outstanding Business of the Year, and Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. The price of the dinner is $28 per person and reservations can be made by phoning the Chamber office at 296-8700. The evening festivities will begin with a reception at 6:00p.m. , followed by dinner at 7:00p.m. This awards banquet is a wonderful community event and all interested are invited to attend.
