Milford — United Way of Pike County and Wachovia recently teamed again to gather coats to deliver to the Bushkill Outreach Program. This is the sixth year the two organizations have organized this Drive, in conjunction with Kate Newman of Bushkill. “Every year the program sees an increase in the number of area residents needing additional winter clothing. This year, with the economic downturn and the early arrival of cold temperatures, the need is even more substantial. We are delighted to support Wachovia in this very important service to our community,” said Christine Obser, president of the United Way, “and our thanks to Valerie Seitz who spearheads the Drive.” More information about the United Way of Pike County or any of its events, visit its Web site, www.unitedwaypike.org., or call the United Way office at 570-296-9980.
