‘Plein air' artists to exhibit

LORDS VALLEY — The “Come Paint With Me” plein air artists will have a show and sale at the Lords Valley office/gallery of Davis R. Chant Realtors from Sept. 1-29. A meet-the-artist reception is planned for Friday, Sept. 12 from 5-7 p.m. The gallery is located on state Route 739, just off Interstate Highway 84, at exit 34. The show and sale is open seven days from 9-5 and is sponsored by Chant Realtors, Lords Valley and the Hemlock Farms Cultural Arts Department. This annual event features original works in a variety of mediums, painted at sites in and around Pike County. “Come Paint With Me,” founded by artist Joan Polishook of Hemlock Farms, is an established, free and non-instructional program for plein air painters. Join them for a “grand tour” in pictures of familiar and favorite places where they paint and commune with nature.
