‘Plein air' artists to show

LORDS VALLEY — “Painting Nature,” a show and sale of original art work by Northeast Pennsylvania “plein air” artists runs from Oct 1-30 at Chant Realtors Lords Valley office gallery. Artist Joan Polishook , coordinator of the outdoor painters group, Come Paint With Me, invites all to attend the gala, reception on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Chant Gallery on state Route 739 in Lords Valley, just south of interstate, exit 34. In celebration of the tenth year of Come Paint With Me, participating local artists will display a wide variety of paintings and drawings done at familiar area sites during this past summer with selected works from previous years. Whether novice or professional, the artists enjoy working from nature, in their choice of medium, recording and interpreting in their own unique ways what they see and feel. A special section featuring children’s drawings and paintings will be devoted to the young artists who attended this summer’s Come Paint With Me Kids program at Grey Towers and the Dorflinger-Suydam Sanctuary. A note of thanks to Chant Realtors, Lords Valley and to the Hemlock Farms Cultural Arts Department for the invitation to exhibit again this year and for their ongoing support of local artists and Come Paint With Me.
