Pocono Flute Society to perform

Pocono Flute Society will perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, fireside in the main lobby at the Shawnee Inn, 100 Shawnee Inn Drive, Shawnee on Delaware. Founded in 2010, the nonprofit Pocono Flute Society sponsors a flute choir, workshops, master classes, and a young artist competition. It is conducted by Dorothy Mohr and includes members ages 14 and up with at least three years experience and performs repertoire of all areas written and arranged for flute ensemble. It also helps its members present solo and chamber music recitals. The society's mission is to promote interest in the study of flute in northeast Pennsylvania.
