Preparations for spring biennial show keep them in stitches

Members of the Milford Valley Quilters Guild are pictured preparing for their biennial quilt show. The June 30 show will be held in the North Wallenpaupack School, off U.S. Route 6 in Hawley. The queen-sized quilt shown here has been completed and will be raffled off at the show. This year, there will be a display of vintage quilts as well as contemporary quilts. Karen Dever will be at the show to appraise quilts (for a fee). Lectures, demonstrations, vendors, book sales, a small quilt auction, a boutique, and fashion show, are being planned. The quilters guild meets the second, third, and fourth Wednesday evening in the cafeteria of the Delaware Valley Middle School at 7 p.m. Visitors are always welcome. (Contributed photo)
