'Puppy Love' dinner at Belle Reve to benefit humane society

MILFORD — Celebrate Valentine’s Day and help a furry friend in need at the “Puppy Love” dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at Belle Reve Senior Living, 404 East Harford St., Milford, to benefit the Humane Society of Pike County.
The cost is $10, with all proceeds benefit the humane society and the food and care they provide for lost, abandoned, and abused animals that come into their shelter.
The humane society aims to prevent cruelty to animals by:
Providing shelter, food, care, and medical treatment as needed
Educating people in the humane treatment of all animals
Educating people about the details and responsibilities of owning pets
Educating people the importance of spay/neuter programs
Making available a low-cost spay/neuter program to address the overwhelming population of unwanted animals
