— The second annual Scarecrows in the Park festival will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Dingman Township Park, located at 679 Log Tavern Road.

The festival features live music all day by Charlie Reynolds and Olivia and The Coalition. At noon Mark Ghia will be on stage with his "Magic Spooktacular" show.

Other highlights include craft and market vendors, free pumpkins for the first 300 kids ages 12 and under, and many other free activities, from face painting to a bouncy house. If you have a big appetite sign up for the pie-eating contest. But the main event of the day is the scarecrow contest, with cash prizes totaling $400.

For more information call the Township at 570-296-8455 or see Dingman Township Park's Facebook page or dingmantownship.org for contest applications.
