Share the Harvest to benefit food pantry

| 06 Sep 2016 | 12:47

— The ninth annual Share the Harvest party to benefit the food pantry will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, at St. Patrick's Church Hall, 4th and East High Streets, Milford.
Sample the fare from a dozen of Milford's favorite eateries, including The Waterwheel Café, Milford Dairy Bar, and Hotel Fauchere, all to live music by Leo B.
Thanks to those who participated last year, Milford Presents/Milford Music Festival donated $2,000 and food to help neighbors in need. Share the Harvest aims to match that donation this year.
Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the party. Each item is a chance to win one of more than 50 prizes donated by area businesses: bring 10 items, receive 10 raffle tickets. There is no limit to the number of pantry items guests can donate.
Prizes include gift certificates and items from local stores. A 50/50 raffle has a cash prize estimated at $250.
Donations to the Milford food pantry are critical to a number of families in the community. Share the Harvest brings together friends and neighbors while it supports this worthy cause.
This annual benefit is made possible by the downtown businesses that donate food, prizes and event volunteers.
Tickets are limited to 150 guests and are sold in advance. They are available at The Craft Show (120 East Harford Street) and TLC Salon and Spa (801 Broad Street). Tickets are $30 in advance or $50 per couple. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $40.
