Siptroth to host green fair

    SHAWNEE — State Rep. John Siptroth, D-Monroe/Pike, will host a Green Fair from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Shawnee on Delaware. The event is free and will feature vendors showcasing environmentally friendly products, alternative energy solutions and sustainable agriculture programs. State and local organizations will also be on hand to provide information about energy conservation, organic gardening, water testing and septic system care. Several workshops on a wide range of issues will run from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and include: Garden Detox 101: Say goodbye to chemicals and hello to nature.
