Snow Soup Sunday at Lacawac Sanctuary
LAKE WALLENPAUPACK The Lacawac Sanctuary will host its annual “Snow Soup Sunday” on Sunday, Jan. 19, from 1-3 p.m. Several varieties of homemade soup, fresh bread and beverages will be served in the Sanctuary’s century old Adirondack style lodge. Following lunch, Naturalist Jen Naugle will lead a walk to discuss nature in winter. Those not interested in the walk may remain inside the century old lodge to enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and learn about the history of the Sanctuary. Please pre-register by Friday, January 15th. The cost of the program is $10 ($7 for Lacawac members) children under 12 are free. Call 570-689-9494 or email info@lacawac to register. The 510-acre Lacawac Sanctuary is a non-profit nature preserve, research field station and historic site located on Lake Wallenpaupack.
