Students exhibit at the Highlands Guild

MILFORD The Highlands Photography Guild is hosting a photography exhibit by the students of Delaware Valley High School in February and March. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Feb 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Delaware Valley High School community brings together students from Matamoras, Shohola, Milford and Dingmans Ferry. Within the Art Department, students can choose among 15 art course electives. Digital photography is taught within the Computer Graphics classes. Students practice the rules of composition, camera angles and design principles before expanding into photo manipulation in Adobe Photoshop. This exhibit which includes a variety of subject matter in color and black and white, produced both digitally and in a wet darkroom, marks the first ever photography show by Delaware Valley High School students. The public is invited to view life from the fresh eyes and minds of today’s teenager. The Highlands Photographic Guild at 224 Broad Street (Wachovia Bank Building) is open Friday - Sunday from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. For more information visit www.highlandsphotoguild.com or by call 570-296-2440 during gallery hours.
