Summer classes offered at Shohola campus
SHOHOLA n Jazz up your cooking, appreciate wine, or become more computer-literate with classes offered in May at Northampton Community College’s campus in Pike County. All classes will be held at the Shohola Business Center in Shohola. Classes include: “Shakespeare’s Ladies” - Mondays, through June 4, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Explore intriguing characters like Lady MacBeth, Juliet, Ophelia and more through discussion and class performances. The fee is $49. “Cool & Easy Summer Desserts” - Tuesday, May 22, 6 -9 p.m. Learn to make “no-fuss” desserts that are light, easy and impressive - and don’t require an oven! The fee is $19 plus $9 for materials. “Wine Appreciation - Italy’s Wines” - Monday, June 4, 6 - 9 p.m. This one-evening course will give you an understanding and sampling of Italy’s various wine producing regions. Must be at least 21 years old to attend. The fee is $22 plus $18 for materials. “Wine Appreciation - Spain’s Wines” - Monday, May 21, 6 - 9 p.m. This one-evening course will give you an understanding and sampling of Spain’s various wine producing regions. Must be at least 21 years old to attend. The fee is $22 plus $18 for materials. “MS Word Workshop - Creating Custom Forms” - Wednesday, May 23, 6 - 9 p.m. This course will show you how to make a form to use for applications such as client intake. The fee is $25 plus $5 for materials. “MS Word Workshop - Using mail Merge” - Wednesday, May 30, 6 - 9 p.m. This class covers developing mailing lists, as well as merging lists into personalized letters, labels, and envelopes.
