Summer reading programs kick off at Pike libraries

MILFORD - Pike County Public Library will be kicking off the 2006 “Paws, Claws, Scales, and Tales” summer reading programs on Monday, June 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Milford Branch of the library in the Community House at 201 Broad Street. The summer kick-off will be a free program for all ages open to the general public. The evening will include arts and crafts and other activities with the Friends of the Children’s Room and The Paws and Claws Animal Magic Show with magician Joseph Keppel. The Friends of the Children’s Room will be selling hot dogs, refreshments, and 2006 summer t-shirts to benefit children’s services at PCPL. In case of rain, the summer kick-off will take place at the Milford United Methodist Church at 206 East Ann Street in Milford.
