Summer's arts and crafts on exhibit

Pike County Arts & Crafts (PCAC) annual exhibit is at borough hall on West Catharine Street through Aug. 17. PCAC was the recipient of the 2007 Governor’s Creative Community Award, which is being proudly displayed along with hundreds of pieces of artwork. Executive Director, Elizabeth Murphy said the exhibits consist of both museum quality work from local artists as well as amateur pieces completed by students of PCAC programs. In all, some eighty artists contributed to the exhibition, which is now in its 58th year. Murphy said sales so far this year have far exceeded those in the recent past. PCAC offers various classes and workshops. Upcoming on Aug. 23 and 30 is “Exploring the Creative Process and Visual Language” taught by Marie Liu at Milford Borough Hall. There is a $70 cost to participate. To register for this class, call 845-386-3011 or email mliuart@yahoo.com .
