Swing dancing coming to The Cooperage, Waterwheel

HONESDALE — Get out your dancing shoes — swing music is coming to The Cooperage.
The Little Big Band of Milford will play the music, and swing dancer Anne Johansen will teach some steps.
The Little Big Band was created by Bruce Dedrick (trombone) and is produced by George Stalter (drums). It includes horns, a rhythm section, and vocals.
In addition to writing most of the arrangements, Dedrick is also a singer and composer. The group specializes in swing tunes like "In the Mood," "Moonlight Serenade," and "Take the A Train," along with classic dance music like cha-chas, waltzes, tangoes, and ballads.
Bring a partner or find one at The Cooperage. Beginners are welcome.
The event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St., Honesdale. The suggested donation is $10. For more information call 570-253-2020 or visit thecooperageproject.org.
Little Big Band will also perform at "Swing Night at the Waterwheel," from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 10. The Waterwheel Cafe is located at 150 Water Street in Milford. Call the cafe at 570-296-2383.
