Take a "Single Malt" tour of Scotland
Milford - Single malt scotch connoisseurs will enjoy an armchair journey through the Scottish Isles as the Laurel Villa Country Inn & Restaurant in Milford hosts its first “Single Malt Tour of Scotland”on Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy four premium single-malt Scotches and, for comparison, two fine blended Scotches. “We’ll start with two famous blends - The Famous Grouse and Dewar’s,” says Janice Halsted, Innkeeper at the Laurel Villa, “and then present four premium unblended Scotches. The regional differences are fascinating.” The “Single Malt Tour of Scotland” will begin with Aberlour, a ten-year-old unblended Scotch from the Highlands region, and then present Highland Park, a twelve-year-old from Orkney Island, Macallan, a Highland twelve-year-old, and culminate with a fifteen-year-old French oak cask Glenlivet from Speyside. Each Scotch will be presented and discussed by Michelle Pevovarnik of Bartolomeo Pio Wines & Spirits. Chef Carl will create a selection of scrumptious hot hors d’oeuvres to accompany the selections, and guests who choose to stay for dinner will receive 15% off their entree. Seating for the “Single Malt Tour of Scotland” is limited and reservations, at $35 per person, are required. For reservations and more information, call 570-296-9940. The Laurel Villa is located at 2nd & Ann Streets in Milford, Pennsylvania.
