Teen library kickoff for summer reading
Dingman Pike County Public Library will host a separate event for teens this summer to kick off the summer reading programs. On Thursday night, June 26th, Mark Piazza will be bringing his “Cabinet of Curiosities” to the Dingman Township Branch Library, 100 Bond Court, just off of Log Tavern Rd., in Dingman Township. The event will begin at 7:30 and last approximately an hour, with free refreshments from 8:30-9 p.m. The Cabinet of Curiosities holds some strange items, with topics including Jack the Ripper, Dracula, Clowns, King Arthur, Houdini, Voodoo, and Edgar Allen Poe. As each item is revealed, a tale is told, followed by a demonstration. Audience participation is encouraged! This event is open to tweens, teens, and young adults, ages 12 and up. Registration is required, either in person or by phone, by stopping in or calling the Milford branch (570-296-8211) or the Dingman Township branch 570-686-7045.
