MILFORD — The Black Bear Film Festival will be kicking off our Tenth Anniversary Year with the Annual Teddy Bear Picnic on Saturday Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Old Lumber Yard Shops in Milford. The painted bears, symbols of the festival, will be displayed for all to enjoy before dispersing them to their sponsors’ places of business. A bear map will be available to direct visitors to the display sites where they will reside from Aug. 29, until the festival begins on Oct.16. At that point the bears will regroup until they are auctioned off and go to their new homes. The Teddy Bear Picnic is a fun activity for all ages. Brownies, iced tea and lemonade will be served free to all our guests. If this whets your appetite for the Festival please join us at our Black Bear Film Festival volunteers meeting on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m. at The Patisserie, 403 Broad Street, in Milford.
