The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'

Callicoon, N.Y. Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Callicoon Theater present “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” starring Brad Pitt as a man who is born in his 80s and ages backwards. Based on story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and nominated for five Golden Globes, the epic film was shot in New Orleans and follows Benjamin’s life journey through joy, sadness, and love. “We’re meant to lose the people we love,” says a character in the film. “How else would we know how important they are to us?” The line of dialogue encapsulates the movie’s central theme. Cate Blanchett, Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, and Jason Flemyng also appear. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is rated PG-13 and will be screened Friday, Jan. 23 through Thursday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at Callicoon Theater, 30 Upper Main St, in Callicoon. Admission is $8. Monday admission is $6.
