The Young Geezers are in concert Sunday
LAKE WALLENPAUPACK On Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m., The Lacawac Sanctuary will host The Young Geezers Concert. The Young Geezers, Tony, Rap and Dan, are three good friends who enjoy the musical synergy of blending acoustic instruments with three-part harmonies. Old enough to qualify as geezers’ but too young to be willing to admit it, the trio hails from Northeast Pennsylvania where they are fortunate enough to be gainfully employed (doing things other than playing music) and so can make music entirely for the pleasure of it. Their repertoire includes a mix of folk, bluegrass, old-timey, gospel, blues, Texas swing, and even the occasional sea chantey. For more about the Geezers visit young-geezers.com . The cost of the program is $5 for Lacawac members and $8 for non-members. There is no charge for children under 12. For information call 570-689-9494 or email info@lacawac.org . The 520-acre Lacawac Sanctuary is a non-profit nature preserve, research field station and historic site located on Lake Wallenpaupack. The sanctuary’s programs are open to the public and include environmental, historical and cultural offerings as well as two miles of hiking trails. Membership, directions, program and other information can be found at lacawac.org.
