Tully at the ARTery

MILFORD The ARTery, a fine art and fine craft gallery, is featuring the paintings of Madeline Tully for its September exhibition. Tully, of Matamoras, Pa., is a well-known painter in the Tri-State region. Her watercolors, mainly still life and landscape in free flowing washes of brilliant color, have been popular with collectors and the viewing public since the gallery’s inception in 1999. Many artists paint with a palette of limited color. Using the full spectrum, Tully’s instinctive sense of tonal emphasis gives her work a feeling of balance and space that is assuring and pleasing to the eye. The exhibition runs from Sept. 11 until Oct. 6. There will be an artist’s reception on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4-7 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Works by the ARTery’s other 20 artists will also be on display at the spacious gallery located in Forest Hall at the corner of Broad and Harford streets in Milford. The ARTery is a cooperative gallery owned and operated by it’s members. It is open Thursday-Sunday, 11 a.m.- 6 p.m., and Monday, 12 - 5 p.m. For more information visit www.arteryonline.com.
