Valentine's Eve champagne dinner at Laurel Villa
MILFORD The most romantic of holidays will be celebrated as the Laurel Villa Country Inn and Restaurant hosts a Valentine’s Eve Champagne Tasting Dinner, featuring a sumptuous menu and four imported and domestic sparkling wines, on Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.. “Nothing says love like champagne” said Janice Halsted, Innkeeper at the Laurel Villa, “and we’ve got four of the most delicious from all over the globe.” Included in the evening will be Domaine Ste. Michelle Extra Dry from Washington State, Kenwood Yalupa Brut from California, and Ciao Prosecco from Italy. The grand finale will be the French classic champagne Perrier Jouet Grand Brut. Each selection will be presented and discussed by Ivan Mines of Southern Wines and Spirits. Laurel Villa’s Chef Carl will create four delicious courses to accompany each sparkler along with an enticing chocolate truffle finale. Guests who choose to stay overnight will receive 20 percent off their room rate. “Each guest will also receive a complimentary souvenir champagne glass,” said Halsted, “donated by Perrier Jouet.” Seating for the Valentine’s Eve Champagne Tasting Dinner is limited and reservations, at $55 per person, should be made by Sunday, Feb. 8.
