Vetstock 2015, a festival celebrating pride in our country and the dedicated service of our veterans, returns to Pike County this year with a new cash prize Poker Run contest. Bikers from within our community and abroad are welcome to participate and to bring along their family and friends. In the tradition of previous years’ Vetstock festivals, part of this year’s festivities will take place at the Malibu Dude Ranch, in Milford. The two-day celebration spans the weekend of Saturday, Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23.

Vetsock 2015 kicks off in Milford, with a Championship Rodeo beginning at 6pm Saturday, August 22 at The Malibu Dude Ranch. See cowboys showcase their skills: Bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback riding, balloon busting, barrel racing, roping, steer wrestling and much more! A staple of prior Vetstock festivals, this event promises to be a thrilling experience and fun time for the whole family.

The Poker Run, taking place on Sunday, Aug. 23, is a new addition to this year’s festival and is scheduled to begin from two separate locations. Biker’s will be given the choice to start from either Vetstock of Pike County’s American Legion Post 139 at 104 Rt. 2001, Milford or Vetstock of Monroe County’s Pocono Forest #124, Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America location at George N. Kemp Post 346, 201 East 5th Street, East Stroudsburg.

The course will conclude at American Legion Post 139 in Milford, where the winning hand in the run will be awarded a cash prize. Registration and sign-in for those wishing to participate in the Poker Run is from 10 a.m. to noon at American Legion Post 139 in Milford.

Together with the Poker Run contest, Sunday will also see many more traditional Vetstock activities at American Legion Post 139. These include a chicken BBQ and live music performed by “Reno The Band” along with door prizes and raffle tickets for the chance to win a Tommy Gun. A cash bar will also be available.

Sponsors for Vetstock 2015 include Celtic Healthcare, KAHR Arms, The Gun Lady, Niki Jones Agency, Inc., Malibu Dude Ranch, The David Madeira Show, Neversink Radio, and Gary in the Morning on Pocono 96.7FM.
