Warrior Festival coming up - Another season getting underway

WESTFALL — The Delaware Valley Warrior Football program is hosting their second Annual Warrior Festival prior to the first home game against East Stroudsburg South High School on Sept 5. The festival, running from 3 to 7 p.m. at Delaware Valley High School Warrior Stadium, was started last year by Head Coach, Keith Olsommer, and the Warrior Football Booster Club, to promote school and community spirit. It is a great way for the community and student body to help the DV Warriors kick off the season. Warrior Football appreciates all the support we receive within our community. The festival is a small way to share with our fans, the success we have achieved with their help and support. Non-profits, youth and student organizations, and local small businesses are invited to set up a booth for free. With thousands of fans, and the two youth football leagues in attendance, it is a great fund raising opportunity. This year we will be having a food drive to benefit the Milford Food Pantry. We are asking all our fans who will be attending the game, to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. During our home games we have some great items we will be raffling off: a pair of tickets to one of the last games ever to be played in Yankee Stadium, and an I-Pod Digital Mini Theater. Be sure to pick up a Football program. When in need of services, please support our sponsors. Limited booths for the festival are still available, and they are free.
