— Weekend of Chamber Music is coming to the Cooperage for a special spring recital titled "Upstate Equinox."

Since its founding in 1994, Weekend of Chamber Music has offered chamber music performances in Sullivan County over three weekends every July and August. In 2014, Weekend expanded its reach by performing a recital at the Cooperage and will return again in July. In the meantime, the musicians will perform at the Cooperage on Saturday, March 26.

“Our hope is that this is the beginning of several concerts that we can offer during the spring during the fall, during the so-called off season for the Weekend of Chamber Music,” says Caroline Stinston, co-artistic director of Weekend of Chamber Music.

The program will feature oboist Peggy Pearson, violinists Ari Streisfeld and Andrew Waggoner, violist Kathryn Lockwood, and cellist Caroline Stinson.

The musicians will present James Primosch’s Oboe Quartet, Andrew Waggoner’s Down/Up, Beethovan’s String Trio in D Major, Op. 9, and J.S. Bach’s Chorale Prelude on Nun komm der heiden Heiland.
