ShopRite recently concluded its annual fundraising campaign to benefit multiple Make-A-Wish chapters: Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley and Make-A-Wish® New Jersey. Stores across Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey participated in the two-week fundraiser from April 16 to April 30 to create wishes for children with critical illnesses.

ShopRite Store #463 in Matamoras, Pa., participated in the fundraiser for the first time, raising money for Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Store #463 was one of 37 stores across the tri-state area and the first in Pennsylvania to fundraise for Make-A-Wish®. During the course of the fundraiser, ShopRite raised $3847.97 through a point-of-sale campaign and basket raffle. To date, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. has raised more than $600,000 for wish kids and their families.

“We are extremely grateful to be a part of ShopRite’s continued generosity and support of our organization this year,” said Maggie O’Brien, Regional Manager of the Make-A-Wish office in Scranton, Pa. “Already, ShopRite’s continuous fundraising efforts and generous donations in New York and New Jersey have provided more children and their families with life-changing experiences that can bring them joy in the face of truly challenging times. We are very thankful to have ShopRite’s support in changing the lives of wish kids in our chapter and in chapters across the country.”
