Jonathan Winaker and Karyn Moran were married at theThayer Hotel on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on Nov. 11, 2022.
After meeting in Albany in 1986 as college students, they decided that the time was right to finally wed. They had a traditional Jewish wedding, officiated by Rabbi David Evan Markus.
The bride is the daughter of Mickey and Anne Moran of Spring Hill, Florida. She is a retired nurse.
The groom is the son of Arthur and Phyllis Winaker of Goshen, New York. He works for the United States Treasury Department and is a United States Marine veteran.
“Getting married to a veteran on Veteran’s Day at West Point,” the bride said, “was so meaningful to our multi-generational service family!”
