Builders award scholarships

Milford — Bob Pierce, President of the Pike County Builders Association (PCBA) and education committee chairman Ed Nikles Sr. presented the annual scholarships at the PCBA May 13 meeting held at Mount Haven Restaurant. Delaware Valley High School students Robert Dodge & James Reilly were awarded the $500 scholarship to continue their higher education. Robert has been accepted at Johnson College and James will be attending Penn State University next fall. Wallenpaupack Area High School student Emily Carella was awarded the $500 scholarship. Emily has been accepted at the Pennsylvania College Of Technology. Joseph Romeo Jr. and Eric Morris also of the Wallenpaupack Area High School were awarded Tool scholarships worth $250, to help start their careers in the building trade workforce. Superior Walls By Advanced Concrete sponsored the evening. The PCBA Scholarship program is funded each year by the annual Pike County Builders Home Show admission proceeds.
